It means that children express their feelings much differently than adults do. An adult therapist will most often talk with you
and help you to talk out your feelings. For children, they don’t do a lot of “talking out their feelings.” Kids express or “process”
emotions through their play. Play is a child’s natural way of expressing their emotions and this is how children learn to
understand their world.
