Hi, I’m John, you can call me Mr. John or Mr. Lawson. I work with kids.
Specifically, I help kids ages 3-13 who are Angry, Anxious or Depressed to express their feelings in ways that are beneficial.
What does this mean?
It means that children express their feelings much differently than adults do. An adult does therapy like this…
“Do you really expect your child to do this?”
Sometimes when kids are playing out their emotions, it looks more like this…
It means that children express their feelings much differently than adults do. An adult therapist will most often talk with you
and help you to talk out your feelings. For children, they don’t do a lot of “talking out their feelings.” Kids express or “process”
emotions through their play. Play is a child’s natural way of expressing their emotions and this is how children learn to
understand their world.
